Moving away from the Drama Triangle

The Drama Triangle describes a cycle of unproductive and disempowering interactions where people take on the roles of:

  • Victim: Feeling helpless, powerless, or at the mercy of others or circumstances.

  • Persecutor: Blaming, criticizing, or overpowering others.

  • Rescuer: Trying to "save" or fix others, often to avoid addressing their own needs.

While these roles can feel familiar or even comforting, they keep us stuck in conflict, disconnection, and dependency.

Accordingly to some estimates, 90% of people spend 90% of their time operating from this place.

It impacts our love lives, our friendships, our family dynamics, our dynamics at work, international affairs, word politics, corporate decision making, basically any interaction between human beings.

AI, and everything else created by humans, is probably also acting from this place.
